I bought this for my husband and he loves it! I intended it as a replacement for his everyday, casual jacket but it looks nice enough that he’s proud to wear it to the office with his business clothes. He’s a big guy (wears a 50L suit jacket) so I got him XX Large and it fits perfectly. He likes that it strikes just below the waist (helps with warmth and adds to the comfort). Even though it’s down-filled and very well insulated, it doesn’t have that ‘Michelin Man’ look that similar coats often do: this one is very soft with no stiffness. If still available on Amazon next fall, I intend to buy again but this time for my sons.

This garmet is very warm, great quality. It was shipped and delivered on time.
It definitely meets my expectations.

For a “puffy” coat, I thought it was thinner and lighter than what I had expected, but I guess that’s where down comes in.
It is really warm for being fairly light. It is much lighter than my snowboarding coat, and just as warm, if not warmer. I’m very happy with my purchase.

like the jacket, good quality, especially with sale price. We purchased the Olive color, like the color very much.

The London Fog Men’s 28″ Polydewspo Down Filled Hipster is a very good light winter jacket. On the one hand, it’s nice and warm due to the down filling and what appears to be a thinsulate lining. But it’s also one of the lightest down coats I have used, making it much more comfortable than alternatives. The fact that it’s light makes it an option for some of fall and spring too.
I actually have a full down coat that is much puffier. This jacket isn’t quite as warm as that one, but is sufficiently warm for most winter days. And when entering a store from the cold, I don’t feel quite as stuffy with this jacket.
PROS
+ Down filling and thinsulate lining makes this jacket toasty warm
+ Light weight and more streamlined than most down jackets
+ Zippers on the pockets to secure your stuff
+ Exterior stands up well to light rain and snow
+ Very reasonably priced for a winter jacket
+ Nice extras include a fleece collar and two inner pockets, one zippered and one not
CONS
– Some sizes, such as large, may be undersized
– Exterior sheen may make some colors, like the grey, seem even lighter
– Limited stock of color options in each size
FEATURES
The pockets have zippers to keep them closed, and the inner lining has a zippered pocket and a smaller un-zippered one that seems suitable for an mp3 player or a cell phone.
While the zipper pull itself is made out of metal, the threading seems to be made out of plastic. I’m sure that contributes to the light weight of the jacket.
The collar has a fleece fringe that is nice. The jacket’s waist-length is also versatile.
I found that the exterior seemed to wick away water sufficiently well. In terms of color, I got the black jacket but it seems slightly light because of the sheen to the outer layer. Perhaps that slight sheen is due to water-proofing.
SIZE
The large size actually seemed slightly small for a large. While the chest width was sufficient, the sleeves were just slightly shorter than I normally find with large jackets. Those who generally wear large or extra large jackets might need to step up to the XL. Those who generally wear medium sized jackets might be better off stepping up to the large size.
CONCLUSION
This is a very nice jacket. I did find the large to be slightly smaller than most large jackets, so those near the top end of the medium or large ranges will want to step up to a large or an extra-large size. Don’t hesitate to get this jacket for use during the early spring or late fall when it’s moderately cold. This jacket is warm enough for most winter days but light enough to be worn comfortably when you come in from the cold.
Enjoy.
